Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Maison Hua (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit maisonhua.com or buy from us. We are the data controller of this information. The operator's details are listed in our Legal Notice. Contact: support@maisonhua.com.
What we collect
- Contact and order details: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, items ordered.
- Payment information: processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card details.
- Browsing information: device, browser, IP address and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Messages: anything you send us when you contact customer service.
Why we use it
- To process and deliver your order, handle returns and answer your questions (performance of our contract with you).
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure (our legitimate interest).
- To send you emails about our dresses and offers, only if you agreed, with an unsubscribe link in every email (your consent).
- To measure and improve the website and our advertising (your consent where required).
- To meet our legal obligations, such as accounting and tax records.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which hosts the store and processes payments (Shopify Privacy Policy).
- Fulfillment and shipping partners, who receive your name and shipping address to prepare and deliver your order.
- Email and marketing tools (such as Klaviyo), only for the emails you agreed to receive.
- Analytics and advertising partners, for audience measurement and ads. You can opt out of the sharing of your data for targeted advertising here.
- Public authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
International transfers
Some of these partners are located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States and China (order fulfillment). Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice data are kept for the period required by tax law. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. US residents may also have rights under their state's privacy laws, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise your rights, email support@maisonhua.com. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD, www.cnpd.pt) or to the authority of your own country.
